“Phase Boundary” is Stela Vasileva’s first solo show at Little Bird Place Gallery. Its starting point is a winter walk in the forest, where frozen streams crisscross the frozen ground. In these ice formations, Stela recognizes a manifestation of the human condition—the fragility of relationships, their apparent stability, and the way they can crack imperceptibly and gradually before their final collapse. The project is also an homage to the history of Little Bird Place Gallery and the philosophy of its exhibition program over the years.
